Will Marvel Comics’ Predator be rescheduled for May 2022?

In April 2021, Bleeding Cool announced that Marvel Comics was pulling their new project Predator comic launch for July 2021 from Ed Brisson and Kev Walkerthe variant cover promotional campaign that aired in June and the Omnibus Predator Dark Horse series reprint also slated for July. No reason was given, and the postponement date of November 2021 has come and gone. But then we read the Hollywood Reporter’s splash on the film’s screenwriters, Jim and John Thomas, sue Disney to recover the rights to Predator from Disney. Last month, we all learned that the lawsuit had been settled, and Marvel Comics was very aware of that fact.

We now see that the Omnibus Predator the Dark Horse comics reprint is still delayed until May 31, 2021. This is also the next closest month that Marvel can schedule comics. Which means, if we read the tea leaves correctly, that Predator #1 will also be delayed to May 2021 as well. Here are the original solicitations for the Dark Horse Reprint Omnibus. Cross fingers…
