Epic Games continues to prove the value of fortnite brand, as the developer is once again teaming up with Marvel for a tie-in comic. The comic in question will feature a mix of Marvel and fortnite characters, and it will continue the story of the previous crossover.
Set after Fortnite X Marvel – Nexus War: Thor, Fortnite X Marvel – Zero War will see a group of characters from the fortnite universe teaming up with iconic Marvel characters to collect a Zero Fragment. A piece of ground zero that was thrown into the Marvel Universe, the object is needed to stop a war unfolding on the fortnite Isle. Although details have yet to be revealed as to fortnite characters will feature in the comic, Jonesy appears on the cover of the first issue.
As for the Marvel characters used, several iconic characters are confirmed to be involved. The claw-wielding Wolverine will be present, as will Iron Man, a character who was integral to stopping Galactus when he invaded the fortnite universe. Shuri will also make an appearance, as will Spider-Man. With the wall-crawler that only joins fortnite in Chapter 3, he missed out on a role in either the Chapter 2 Marvel-themed season or the earlier comic. With Spidey now part of the fortnite franchise, he is capable of playing a major role in the next Zero War scenario.
At this time, it’s unknown if any suitable Marvel villains will appear in Zero War when the first issue comes out in June. While fortnite features prominent villains like Green Goblin, Venom, Thanos, and Doctor Doom, the only antagonists mentioned for the comic so far are the Imagined Order. As such, it will come as a complete surprise if any villains appear to be trying to take the Zero Fragment for themselves.
It seems, however, that the comic is taken seriously by Marvel and Epic Games. On the Marvel side, it calls on talents like Christos Gage, the writer behind Spider-Geddon – the suite of the beloved spider worms comic. As for Epic Games, it rewards everyone who purchases a first print issue with a redeemable code for an in-game item. While it’s unclear what this cosmetic will be, it’s safe to assume it will be. related to Marvel, so those who love Marvel and fortnite will want to pick up the first number once it drops. Another digital code will be provided to those who read all five issues through Marvel Unlimited.
With fortniteThe Batman comic is also proving popular, Epic Games has also managed to show a lot of love to the DC Universe. With more Marvel and fortnite content on the way, there’s plenty for fans of fortnitethe crossovers to look forward to.
fortnite is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series X.
